Typically, when applying for bad credit mobile phone contracts the service provider network operators will often ask you to take a credit check that you must pass in order that they can verify that you’re able to make payments on time. But what if you’re one of them may people who have difficulty doing this because of your bad credit history? While there may not be in any UK based service providers that offer a mobile phone contract with bad credit, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to do so, you can get a mobile phone contract with one of the major networks.

Most people are unaware that each mobile network service provider has different criteria in regards to the different credit standards that they have for them to grant a customer, or potential customer access to their network. Some of these networks are a bit more stringent than others, but if you get denied by one you can certainly be accepted by another. Out of the six major UK networks, there are three networks that tend to be much more friendly towards people looking for bad credit contract mobile phones. These three are Orange, 3 mobile and Vodafone.

One of the most common ways that people can get it through by one of these companies is to apply with the cheaper mobile phone handset. Typically these phones tend to be much more basic and as a result they use much fewer services which tend to be more attractive to the service provider, also be sure to look into getting a cheaper on Rental tariff as well which should increase your chances. It’s also advised that you apply directly with the mobile phone network of your choice, this is due to the fact that should you not pass their mobile phone credit check they can still look into the other possible packages and services that you might qualify for. You would simply not be able to do this with third parties like Carphone warehouse and Phones4U.

Keep in mind that the most important thing you can do is plenty of comparison shopping , and make sure that you check with all of the major network service providers before giving up. The most important thing you can do is purchase a mobile phone handset that is more low end and put it on a cheaper tariff and this will most likely ensure that you get service on one of these networks.

If you’re having trouble getting bad credit cell phones and mobile phone contracts, you’ve likely noticed that these can be kind of hard to apply and then be accepted for. Usually a typical credit check is required when trying to get a monthly based mobile phone contract. So given today’s economic times, what are people to do when their credit has been so severely damaged? Fortunately, there a lot of different online retail outlets and even traditional storefront outlets that offer bad credit cell phones and bad credit cell phone plans regardless of your personal credit history or lack of credit. This is primarily due to the fact that so many people have been affected by the economic crisis across the globe and will likely be affected for some time in the future, cell phone companies still very much still need to stay in business and are now offering more flexible and nontraditional options for these customers.

A new customer will more often than not find that there are two basic bad credit cell phone plans and structures. One of these types of cell phone plans is what’s known as a “no credit check required” or “cell phones bad credit” system. The other type of cell phone system that companies have started to provide will do a credit check of sorts but have a lower credit approval score standard for the applications and may ask for a security deposit upfront.

The good thing about the cell phone companies that don’t ask you to go through credit check is that you basically have guaranteed acceptance and approval for your bad credit cell phones. The downside to this type of plan is that they can still be very expensive and are often very restrictive in the ways and times you can use the cell phone. If you’ve ever had to go through the horrible experience of applying for mortgages or car loans when you have poor credit, you will likely have noticed that these too often are very expensive programs. These cell phone bad credit service plans are much the same way in that you pay much higher rate than would normally be the case for folks with better credit histories. Even having said all this though, you may still be very tempted to try this option, but there is some facts to keep in mind when doing so:

You will be limited in your choice of phone models

You will likely have to pay a much higher monthly fee for all services like text messaging and other monthly fee based services.

You’ll probably be required to sign a much longer service contract.

Your interest rates on a cell phone with bad credit plan would be much higher than would be for traditional rates on cell phone plans

So as you can likely see while these types of plans may be appropriate for some of you, many other folks may want to go with companies that simply acquire a reasonable deposit for the year, but allow you to have much more reasonable monthly rates and interest because of the fact that they have lower standards for credit acceptance and because the deposit fee that you’ve paid. Keep in mind that different companies may have different acceptance standards amongst each other, so would be wise to consider applying to several different competing cell phone providers so that you can get the best deal.
