AT&T has become one of the major players in these cell phone service provider industry, this is particularly been spurred on by the fact that it has an exclusive contract-for now with Apple and their ubiquitous iPhone. What this essentially allows you to do is to build up a form of credit history with them, not only does it allow you to build up a credit history with AT&T, but it also builds up your overall credit score as well which could end up helping you in other situations where you might need to have proof of regular and on-time bill paying-even for another cell phone here. Be sure to do plenty of comparison-shopping however, as AT&T isn’t the only major player, and very soon the iPhone and other major smart phones will be available on all major networks so that you won’t be confined to one or two service providers.
